I’ve decided to close this blog. I’ve got four blogs that I’m currently using, which is at least one too many. There’s a lot of overlap and redundancy between this blog and Quai Franklin Journal as well as Quai Franklin Radio so I’ve decided to give this one up.
I’ll see you at one of my other sites if you decide to continue along these creative and intellectual journeys with me.

Notable quote – “The fact is we don’t live in a completely safe world. Things can and do go wrong. But if I can impose this order on it by my worldview, I can keep my anxiety to a manageable level.“
I had been theorizing that conservatism is built around the fear-model of thinking and this gives evidence to that theory. I have found in my personal experience that people who are more conservative don’t have as free a sense of humor or willingness to laugh or express their emotions (other than anger) and are generally harsher types. I suppose these are all consequences of persistent fear and fear-based thinking.
How much do the facts matter? I suppose we’ll find out after the election…
